The house belongs to De Vita’s family since 1400, when they left Ravello to escape from the Saracen incursions.

The whole family dedicate to the farm from which are produced biological products such as oil, wine, vegetables and fruit.

In ancient times in this farm were produced figs which were successively put in the sun to dry.

Its name "La Passolara" in fact, derives from the Italian word "appassire" meaning "to dry in the sun".
